Group Tours (1st Grade – Adult) - $5.00 per person
Special Group Rates - For groups of 20 or more, the rate is $4.00 per student (teachers and chaperones are FREE).
Tour Details
Our permanent "Pathway to Freedom" exhibit focuses on six core historical areas involving the struggles, victories, and sacrifices of unsung heroes:
The Transatlantic Slave Trade: Exploring the history of captured Africans and the 244-year enslavement of African people.
The Underground Railroad: Meet the "Faces of Freedom" including Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, and Nat Turner.
The Trail of Tears: Learn about the "Trail Heroes" and the forced migration of Native Americans and 15,000 enslaved and free Africans to Oklahoma.
The 1921 Tulsa Massacre (Black Wall Street): A tribute to the survivors and the legacy of the Greenwood Business District.
The Civil Rights Movement: Discover the "Big Six" history makers and the local civil rights warriors who changed the world.
Global Influence: Explore the movement's impact on Aboriginal Culture in Australia.
Tour Length:
Jr. High – Adult Tours: Approximately 90 minutes.
1st – 6th Grade Tours: Approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

Walk, do not run, through the facility.
Discard all food, gum, and drinks before entering the museum area.
Silence cell phones; please do not talk on phones while the docent is speaking.
Look with your eyes and NOT hands unless directed by a docent.
