Upcoming EVents & Opportunities
At the Dallas Civil Rights Museum, our volunteers are the driving force behind our mission to educate, inspire, and keep the vital stories of the Civil Rights Movement alive. Whether you are looking to give back, connect with fellow community advocates, or develop new skills, your time and talents make a lasting impact.
Explore our upcoming volunteer opportunities and find out how you can help us inspire the next generation of change makers.
We are looking for passionate individuals to serve as docents who can lead students and adults through our permanent "Pathway to Freedom" exhibit. We also need energetic volunteers to help facilitate our interactive youth educational activities, such as Black History scavenger hunts, MLK trivia games, and matching activities designed for students in grades 1 through 12.
If you have an interest in research and teaching, you can help us fulfill our mission to empower visitors to become "Truth Tellers" by exploring the rich legacy of Blacks in American and local Dallas history. By joining our team, you will help maintain a respectful, inspiring "safe space" where the community can come together to learn from the lessons of the past and become agents of positive change for the future.
